Check with your piercer. They will need to autoclave the jewelry for you and size it to make sure that it's appropriate for the initial piercing and will fit to your anatomy, but it's kind of 50/50 as to whether they'll agree to do it or not. There WILL be an additional cost to autoclave it and you will need to take the jewelry in a day or two ahead of time, so that they will have time to do the autoclaving (this sterilizes it).

I'm sure that the piercing place doesn't really appreciate it since they're losing a profit off of jewelry you could have bought from them, but I have done this before. I had an industrial piercing done with my own jewelry and they just charged me for the piercing. Nothing wrong with it as long as the jewelry is brand new and never used.

They usually prefer to use their own jewelry because its been sterilized, but it never hurts to ask and most places have a sterilizing machine.

Usually, the jewelry is pre-packaged and sterile. That way there is no health liability for the business doing the piercing.

What you put in your body after you leave their place of business is up to you. But they will protect themselves by using their own.
