Fashion Emergency! Ruby colored dress, shiny material up to knees, no sleeves, what shoes and jewelry?

mil asked:

I have a 350 per person auction, event to attend on thursday, my first of this type. I was told to dress festive, colors preferably. I’m tanned in complexion with black hair, should I wear gold accents or silver accents. Meaning either diamond studs and diamond look tennis bracelet with black shoes gray silver shawl and clutch Or long dangling amber colored earrings with cuff same colored bracelet, yellow gold shawl and bronzy clutch and strappy beige/or gold colored strappy high heeled wedge or sandals? Help I want to fit in, but look nice!

Definitely bronze/gold. I think ruby/silver looks unsophisticated and kinda trashy. And i think the whole ruby/bronze would look amazing on your complexion. And the amber earrings sound gorgeous. You’ll look great don’t worry!

gold cause darker complections don’t look very good with silver

you could do either, but i wouldn’t wear a shawl, it’s overkill

go with the amber earring one it sounds much nicer and will compliment ur skin tone

The bronze/gold set will go much nicer and complement you’re skin tone. :]

bronzy/gold combination will be more rich and festive. i would go with that one.
