Why are the models never given credit in the photos in the fashion magazines?

findandreplace asked:

In the photoshoots they publish, why is it that magaizines like Glamour, Vouge etc, print information about the makeup artist, clothes, shoes, jewelry, designers, location etc, but not the model herself?

How is a potential employer supposed to contact a model for a future assignment?

I know they work through some agency and all, but why is the model’s name almost never published, unless she is as famous as say Kate Moss, Giselle etc. In some cases the name of the agency is not published either. I’m asking this is out of curiousity.

Thanks all.
CareBear & Birdie: My question is about photoshoots not product advertisements. Thanks.

because they are selling the product not the model

  2. Birdie

some products have their models listed
like Natalia Vodianova or something like that and Adrianna Lima
